CCREWeb.org is the home of kForth, an interactive Forth-based environment for computing, and XYPLOT, an interactive and extensible plotting and data analysis program. Both programs are particularly useful in a laboratory environment for instrument control and data acquisition, and for fast display and analysis of data. However, their range of application extends well beyond this example. The authors of these programs are also their users; hence, their features are driven by real-world needs. This is reflected in their ease of use and wide range of applicability.
